Iranianos dizem ter visto corpos sendo levados da prisão de Evin, possivelmente manifestantes torturados e mortos nos porões da ditadura iraniana instaurada pelo Aiatolá Khamenei.
Alguns grupos de religiosos estão deixando a neutralidade e se posicionando contra os desmandos e a violência patrocinada por Khamenei:

Mousavi planeja novo partido cuja bandeira é a defesa dos princípios constitucionais do Irã, ao mesmo tempo em que Hossein Shariatmadari, assessor de Khamenei o acusa de traição:
"Hossein Shariatmadari, a special adviser to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, accused Mousavi of being a "foreign agent" working for the United States and a member of a "fifth column" determined to topple Iran's Islamic system of governance.
