"An influential group of religious scholars seen as politically neutral during the presidential election called the country's highest election arbiter, the Guardian Council, biased, and said the June 12 election was "invalid." Earlier, it had endorsed the official result that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad defeated Mir Houssein Mousavi and other challengers by a wide margin.

The group, with no government role, has little practical ability to change the election outcome. But its new posture may carry moral weight with Iranians after security forces have quashed street protests and jailed hundreds of opposition supporters."

""The head of the judiciary Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi today has issued a directive to Iranian courts allowing them to sentence anyone working with satellite television channels or Internet networking websites to up to 10 years in jail, according to several news agencies.""

"Hossein Shariatmadari, a special adviser to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, accused Mousavi of being a "foreign agent" working for the United States and a member of a "fifth column" determined to topple Iran's Islamic system of governance. The accusation of treason was the highest and most direct issued by an Iranian official since the June 12 election."

'This space has been created after the increasing violence in Iran after the presidential elections on the 12th of June 2009. Principally it is dedicated to the victims of the riots, killed by the security forces who opened fire on the unarmed crowd and raided the students' dormitories killing several people. Anyway, If you have any information on other innocent people killed in other riots or secretly executed in Iran's prisons, send them anyway. If you do not wish, we will not publish names. We publish also photographs, if available, but to not hurt sensitive people, they will be very small and eventually possible to enlarge clicking on the original location. With each post about a victim, we will increase the number of the "BODY COUNTER" by the equivalent number of casualties and other victims of violence.

If you have any details about their destiny or anything important to say, please leave a comment.
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT IF YOU LIKE THE IDEA. THANK YOU."
